Many housewives do not risk cooking puff pastry. This is a really troublesome and lengthy process, but if you understand the essence, it no longer seems so complicated. I'm telling you how to make homemade puff croissants!

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Sift the flour into a wide bowl. This will get rid of garbage and enrich the flour with oxygen.

Add vanilla essence and 50 g of melted butter.

In a separate container, mix the egg, ice water, vinegar and salt.

Pour the resulting mixture into a bowl with flour and knead the plastic dough.

Divide it into two parts and roll out the same cakes.

Grease the first one with the third part of butter and put the second cake on top.

Fold in half, wrap in plastic wrap and put in the freezer for 30 minutes.

Roll out a large cake, brush with half of the remaining oil, fold in half and put it back in the freezer for half an hour. Repeat the procedure one more time.

Roll out the finished puff pastry, cut into identical triangles and roll up loose rolls.

Cover the baking sheet with baking paper, lay out the croissants.

Brush the croissants with yolk mixed with milk.

Bake in a preheated oven according to the following scheme: 10 minutes at 210 degrees and 10 minutes at 180 degrees.
