Today we offer to cook lush Tatar baursaks on kefir without yeast. Soft and delicious deep-fried pastries are suitable as bread or as a sweet dessert for tea, just pour honey or chocolate over them.
Ingredients
- Flour - 500 g
- Kefir - 250 ml
- Chicken eggs - 2 pieces
- Sugar - 50 g
- Baking soda - 1 tsp
- Salt - 1 h.l .
- Sunflower oil - 340 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
To prepare the dough, kefir must be at room temperature. Add soda, sugar and salt to the kefir, mix and set aside for 10 minutes.
Add a little beaten eggs to the kefir, mix. Sift the flour and add the kefir and eggs to the mixture. Mix thoroughly, put the finished dough in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
Divide the dough into portions, roll into balls. Bring the oil to a boil and send the balls to the fryer, take them out when they become golden. Place the balls on a paper towel.
When serving, Tatar baursaks can be sprinkled with powdered sugar, sprinkled with sweet syrup, caramel, or left as is and used as bread.
