Tomatoes are one of the easiest and most affordable ways to diversify pea soup. Including the classic recipe with smoked meats and sausages. Although I propose to deviate from the traditions even further, and use canned peas.
Ingredients
- Hunting sausages - 150 g
- Smoked meat - 150 g
- Cilantro - 0.5 beam
- Green peas (canned) – 200 g
- Tomatoes - 2 pieces
- Bell pepper - 1 piece
- Chili pepper - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Potatoes - 3 pieces
- Carrots - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Spices and seasonings - 1 art.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Finely chop the onion and pepper, grate the carrots. Fry for a couple of minutes.
Add chopped garlic, chili, chopped sausages and smoked meats. Fry for another 2 minutes.
Fill everything with water and bring to a boil.
Add the sliced potatoes and cook the soup until it is ready.
Peel the tomatoes and chop them finely. Send it to the soup with canned peas and spices.
Boil the soup for a couple more minutes, sprinkle with chopped coriander and remove from the heat.
