It's hard to imagine a simpler homemade baking recipe. Puff croissants can be served with powdered sugar, honey or butter. Or maybe you like a croissant sandwich with ham or red fish? Prepare the base, then it's a matter of taste.
Ingredients
- Puff pastry (frozen) – 500 g
- Flour (for rolling out) – 30 g
- Chicken eggs (for lubrication) – 1 pcs.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Put a package of frozen yeast dough in the refrigerator overnight for thawing.
Sprinkle the table with flour, lay out the dough, roll out slightly and cut into triangles with a base of about 7 cm. Slightly stretch the dough triangles in length. Form croissants by rolling a bagel. Give the products the shape of a crescent.
Place the croissants at a small distance from each other on a baking sheet covered with baking paper. Cover the products with cling film and leave to double in volume.
Then remove the film, if desired, lubricate the croissants with beaten egg to give a beautiful shine.
Bake the puff pastry croissants in a preheated 180°C oven until golden brown (about 15-20 minutes).
Serve croissants with butter, jam, chocolate or as a base for unsweetened sandwiches - depending on your mood and taste preferences.
