Nothing can replace the taste of homemade jam made from fresh strawberries. I always use only fresh and ripe berries, and add a little lemon juice to give the preparation a sourness. And gelatin reduces the cooking time and allows you to preserve the bright taste and color of strawberries.
Ingredients
- Strawberries - 1.2 kg
- Sugar - 800 g
- Lemon juice - 30 ml
- Gelatin - 2 tbsp.l .
- Water - 100 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Dilute gelatin in water according to the instructions.
Cover the strawberries with sugar, mash them with a crush and boil for 10 minutes.
Mash again or grind through a sieve - as you like.
Add lemon juice and bring the jam to a boil again.
Pour in the gelatin, mix, remove the jam from the heat and roll it into sterile jars.
