The preparation got its beautiful name not only because of the tomato variety of the same name, but also because of the delicious sweet taste - an impressive amount of sugar is added to the marinade, which is sometimes even replaced with honey. It turns out very tasty!
Ingredients
- Tomatoes - 1,5 kg
- Bell pepper - 1/4 pcs.
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Dill - 1 umbrella
- Black Pepper (polka dots) – 3 pcs.
- Carnation - 3 pcs.
- Bay leaf - 1 pcs.
- Water - how much will go into the jar
- Vinegar (9%) – 1 art.l.
- Salt - 1 tbsp.l.
- Sugar - 2 art.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the tomatoes and prick each one with a toothpick in several places.
Place an umbrella of dill, bay leaf, peppers, cloves and slices of bell pepper on the bottom of a pre-sterilized jar.
Fill the jar with tomatoes to the top.
Boil water and pour boiling water over tomatoes in a jar. Cover the jar with a sterile lid and leave to warm up for 15-20 minutes. Then drain the water.
Add a garlic clove sliced into a jar, add salt and sugar, pour in vinegar.
Fill the contents of the jar with boiling water. Roll up the jar immediately, turn it upside down, wrap it up and leave it to cool completely. Store the cooled tomatoes royally in a cool, dark place.
