Classic homemade jelly in jars, which many remember from childhood, is most often made from red and black currants. And all because these berries perfectly thicken due to natural pectin. And of course, it's just delicious.
Ingredients
- Red Currant - 700 g
- Black Currant - 800 g
- Sugar - 1 kg
- Water - 100 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Pick a berry, pour in water and boil it until soft.
Mash the berry with a crush and add sugar.
Boil for another 5 minutes and rub the currants through a sieve.
Add citric acid, boil for another 2 minutes and roll the jelly into jars scalded with boiling water.
