I always advise all lovers of currant preparations to mix red and black currants together. So it turns out an even brighter and richer taste. And it's also just convenient when there's a little bit of this and a little bit of that. I tell you by the example of my favorite compote.
Ingredients
- Black Currant - 2 glasses
- Red currant - 2 glasses
- Sugar - 2 glasses
- Water - 2-3 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Sort the berries and put them in clean, dry jars.
Pour boiling water and leave for 5-7 minutes under the lids.
Drain this water, add sugar to it and boil it again.
Pour the berry again and roll up the compote.
