For a change, cook a carp soup today. Go to the market and find the freshest fish. It is easy to determine by the smell: a newly caught carp smells pleasantly of river water. And also check the gills – they should be pink.
Ingredients
- Carp (2-2.5 kg) – 1 carcass
- Potatoes - 400 g
- Carrots - 1 piece
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Garlic - 5 teeth
- Bay leaf - 2 pieces
- A mixture of peppers with peas - 0,5 tsp.
- Salt - 35 g
- Water - 5 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the carp, remove the scales, gut and rinse again.
Cut the fish into medium-sized pieces and pour cold water for half an hour.
Cut carrots and peeled potatoes.
Put the vegetables in a saucepan with water, add spices and peeled garlic cloves. Boil for 15 minutes.
Add carp slices and whole onions. Cook for another 15 minutes.
Fish out the bulbs and discard, add salt and after 2 minutes remove the pan from the heat.
