And what if you cook soup with peas and beef for lunch? In our family, such a first dish is always eaten with great appetite. For cooking, you will need a piece of fillet from a spatula cut, chopped peas and a standard set of vegetables.

Ingredients

  • Beef (shoulder cut) – 400 g
  • Peas (dry) – 1.5 glasses
  • Potatoes - 250 g
  • Carrots - 1 piece
  • Onion - 1 piece
  • Vegetable oil - 3 tbsp.l.
  • Bay leaf - 1 piece
  • Allspice - 3 peas
  • Ground black pepper - to taste
  • Salt - to taste
  • Water (filtered) – 3 l

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Rinse the peas thoroughly and soak them in cold water for 2 hours.

Chop beef, carrots, peeled potatoes and onions.

Put the peas in a colander, rinse again, pour clean water and bring to a boil.

Add the meat, bay leaf, sweet peas and cook for 1.5 hours.

In a preheated frying pan with oil, fry the carrots and onions until golden brown.

Pour the roast into the pan, add the potatoes and continue to cook for another 10 minutes.

Add salt, pepper and remove from heat. Ready pea soup insist under the lid for 15-20 minutes.
