Preparations for the winter should be not only delicious, but also useful. Such, for example, as cucumber salad with turmeric. Indian spice gives vegetables barely noticeable notes of piquancy and enriches with useful substances. With such a snack, vitamin deficiency is not terrible for you!
Ingredients
- Cucumbers - 2 kg
- Onion - 150 g
- Garlic - 4 cloves
- Turmeric (with slide) – 1 tsp.
- Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp.
- Vegetable oil (odorless) – 50 ml
- Vinegar - 80 ml
- Sugar - 60 g
- Salt - 40 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Slice cucumbers and peeled onions.
Mix, add turmeric, mustard seeds, sugar, salt and oil. Stir, cover and leave for a couple of hours at room temperature.
Put the pan on low heat and boil for 5 minutes.
Add the garlic passed through the press and cook for another 10 minutes.
Pour in the vinegar, mix gently and immediately remove from the heat.
Fill the prepared jars with hot salad, roll them up and wrap them with a thick towel.
