When it comes to pea soup, we most often imagine dry peas and smoked meats. But today I want to offer you such an easy and dietary option – from green peas. You can take fresh or frozen – it does not affect the taste.
Ingredients
- Green peas - 400 g
- Onion - 1 piece
- Butter - 30 g
- Cream - 100 ml
- Salt - 0.5 tsp.
- Chicken broth - 700 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Finely chop the onion and simmer in butter for about 5 minutes over low heat.
Pour in the broth and bring to a boil. Pour in the peas and boil for 5-6 minutes.
Add salt to the soup, add cream and bring to a boil again.
Grind the soup with a blender until smooth. Garnish with a handful of the same peas if desired.
