Today I will share a simple and quick recipe for Georgian tkemali sauce made from plums. This spicy seasoning will replace the purchased sauces and diversify your table. Suitable for any meat and fish dishes, I also add this sauce to kharcho soup and pizza.


Step-by-step cooking recipe

Wash the plums, put them in a cooking bowl, fill with water and bring to a boil over medium heat. Stirring, boil the fruits for 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat and cool.

Wipe the softened plums through a sieve. This way we will get rid of unnecessary bones and skin.

Put the workpiece on the fire again, bring to a boil and immediately remove from the heat.

Add salt, sugar, finely chopped herbs, crushed garlic and bitter pepper, mix. Put the mass on the fire, pour in the vinegar and bring to a boil.

Pour the ready-made plum sauce tkemali hot into pre-sterilized jars, roll up and cool.
