In late autumn, when the first frost was already at night, it's time to harvest viburnum. It can be dried, boiled and hidden in the freezer. And I also like to cook viburnum juice. It is most convenient to pass the berries through a juicer.
Ingredients
- Kalina - 2 kg
- Sugar - 400 g
- Citric acid - on the tip of the knife
- Water - 500 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Remove the berries from the brushes and rinse thoroughly.
Pass the viburnum through the juicer.
Fill the cake with water and boil for 10 minutes.
Strain through a sieve or a double layer of gauze.
Mix the resulting broth with juice, citric acid and sugar. Boil for 20 minutes.
Pour into sterilized jars, roll up and wrap up for a day with a warm blanket.
