Garlic can be prepared in different ways - and here is one of the options that I like. Pickled cloves will please in winter. They can be served as a separate snack, added to rolls, salads, vegetables – anywhere!
Ingredients
- Garlic - 500 g
- Currant leaves - 3 pieces
- Hot red pepper - 0.5 pod
- Parsley - 4 twigs
- Rosemary - 2 twigs
- Water - 500 ml
- Salt - 1 art.l.
- Sugar - 1 art.l.
- Vinegar (9%) – 3 tbsp.l.
- Bay leaf - 3 pieces
- Allspice (polka dots) – 6 pieces
- Black Pepper (polka dots) – 10 pieces
- Carnation - 1 piece
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the garlic from the husk, rinse thoroughly and cut off all damaged and greenish edges.
In small sterilized jars, beautifully arrange the currant leaves, parsley, rosemary and chopped hot pepper.
Put the garlic cloves on top, carefully distributing everything in the jar.
Pour boiling water over the garlic, cover with lids and leave for 5-7 minutes.
Drain the water, add another 0.5 cups of boiling water, pepper, cloves, bay leaf, and bring to a boil.
Add salt and sugar to the marinade, and after a couple of minutes – vinegar.
Mix everything well, pour in the garlic and roll up the jars.
