Plums in their own juice will be appreciated by housewives who often bake open pies and other confectionery. The treat will also appeal to children. I advise you to choose ripe, rather dense plums for preservation. I prefer the Hungarian variety.

Ingredients

  • Plums (Hungarian) – 700 g
  • Sugar - 300 g

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Wash the plums, cut in half and remove the seeds.

Fill pre-sterilized jars with plum halves (cut down), layer by layer sprinkling the fruits with sugar.

Cover the jars with sterile lids and sterilize in a saucepan with boiling water for 15 minutes from the moment the water boils (the water in the pan should be “on the shoulders” of the jars).

After sterilization, seal the jars tightly, turn upside down and leave to cool completely at room temperature. Store the cooled workpiece in a cool, dark place.
