I share a recipe for canned tomatoes with plums. This unusual billet in winter will remind you of summer. There is nothing superfluous in the composition, the snack is prepared without vinegar and additional sterilization. Serve with meat, pasta or boiled potatoes.

Ingredients

  • Tomatoes - 500 g
  • Plums - 500 g
  • Water - 2 l
  • Vinegar (9%) – 1 tbsp.l .
  • Sugar - 200 g
  • Salt - 30 g

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Wash tomatoes and plums. Fill pre-sterilized jars tightly with fruits, alternating tomatoes and plums.

Combine water, salt and sugar in a saucepan, stir and bring to a boil.

Pour boiling brine over tomatoes and plums in jars. Cover the jars with sterile lids and leave to warm up for 10-15 minutes.

Then drain the liquid from the jars back into the saucepan, bring to a boil and pour the boiling brine over the fruits in the jars to the top again. Cover the jars with lids and leave for 10 minutes. Repeat the procedure again.

Pour the tomatoes and plums with boiling brine for the last time. Roll up the jars immediately, turn them upside down, wrap them up and leave them to cool completely. Store the cooled tomatoes with plums in a cool dark place.
