A very original and pleasant seasonal find – melon compote. It adequately diversifies the usual apple and cherry recipes. Moreover, it can be rolled up for the winter without sterilization, and then I'll tell you how to do it.

Ingredients

  • Melon - 1 kg
  • Water - 3 l
  • Sugar - 300 g
  • Lemon juice - 1 tbsp.l .

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Cut the melon into cubes and put it in jars.

Pour boiling water, cover and leave for 10 minutes.

Drain this water, boil again, pour over the melon, cover and leave for 10 minutes.

Drain the water again, add sugar, boil and pour in lemon juice.

Pour the syrup over the melon and roll up the jars.
