If you love lemonades and compotes with strawberries and basil as much as I love them – this recipe is especially for you. I recommend not adding too much sugar so that it does not drown out the taste of the other ingredients.
Ingredients
- Strawberries - 500 g
- Sugar - 200 g
- Lemon zest - 2 tbsp.l .
- Mint - 10 leaves
- Basil - 10 leaves
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the strawberries, peel them from the tails, cut them to taste and put them in a saucepan.
Fill the berry with sugar, mix and leave for a few hours so that it will let the juice.
Bring the strawberries to a boil, boil for 10 minutes on low heat and add the chopped greens and lemon zest in a blender.
Boil the jam for another 5-20 minutes, depending on the desired consistency.
Remove it from the heat and roll it into sterilized jars. You can additionally beat it with a blender to a homogeneous consistency.
