One of the most unusual preparations is onion jam. I prefer to cook it with purple onions. Thanks to its bright color, many will not even guess what the main ingredient in such a bizarre delicacy is!
Ingredients
- Bow purple - 8 pieces
- Orange - 1 piece
- Raisins - 50 g
- Wine (sweet) – 350 ml
- Sugar - 100 g
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Thinly slice the onion and simmer in a small amount of oil for 20 minutes, stirring slowly.
Add spices, sugar and wine, and bring to a boil.
Add the orange juice and zest, raisins, stir and simmer for another 25 minutes.
Roll the jam into sterilized jars.
