Watermelon is not only a juicy delicious fruit, but also an excellent basis for non–banal culinary experiments. For example, it makes a wonderful jelly. However, it is problematic to boil it to the desired density, so gelatin comes to the rescue.
Ingredients
- Watermelon - 3 kg
- Sugar - 500 g
- Gelatin - 30 g
- Vanillin - 2 pinches
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop the watermelon pulp in any convenient way.
Pour and strain a glass of this juice, and soak the gelatin in it.
Add sugar to the remaining juice, bring to a boil and boil until the sugar dissolves.
Pour in the gelatin, mix everything thoroughly, add vanilla and roll the jelly into sterile jars.
