The history of ketchup originates in China. The recipe has changed a lot over the years. In the modern world, it is made from tomatoes, anchovies and vegetables. Somehow I came across an interesting version of apricot ketchup. I checked it and I declare with confidence — it's very tasty!
Ingredients
- Apricots - 1 kg
- Onion (medium) – 2 pieces
- Garlic - 4 cloves
- Cilantro - 3 twigs
- Apple cider vinegar - 150 ml
- Ground black pepper - 1 tsp.
- Salt - 15 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Divide the apricots into halves and peel the seeds.
Peel the onion and garlic from the husk.
Chop apricots, garlic, onion and cilantro in a blender.
Add salt, ground pepper and boil for 10 minutes on low heat.
Pour in the vinegar, stir and remove from the heat after 1 minute.
Put the hot ketchup in clean, dry jars and roll it up.
