Delicious “winter” salad of tomatoes and bell peppers will complement meat and poultry dishes, potatoes and any porridge. The recipe is the simplest, the result is another successful preparation on the shelves in the pantry. Adjust the amount of garlic and hot pepper to your taste.
Ingredients
- Bell pepper - 600 g
- Tomatoes - 500 g
- Onion - 1 pcs.
- Hot red pepper - 1 pcs.
- Garlic - 5 teeth
- Vegetable oil - 30 ml
- Provencal herbs - 1 tsp.
- Sugar - 1 tsp.
- Salt - 1 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Fry finely chopped onion in preheated vegetable oil.
Peel the bell pepper from the seeds and stalks, chop it coarsely and send it to the onion in the pan. Fry everything together, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes.
Add sliced tomatoes to the fried vegetables in the pan.
Add salt, sugar, herbs of Provence, mix well and simmer under the lid for 20 minutes.
5 minutes before cooking, add the chopped garlic and hot pepper, mix.
Place the boiling salad in a pre-sterilized jar and roll it up. After cooling, store the workpiece in a cool, dark place.
