To make the jam more original and varied, I prefer to mix several types of fruits and berries. For example, apples and cranberries are amazingly combined with each other. And you can make it even more interesting, and add a handful of walnuts there.
Ingredients
- Lingonberries - 800 g
- Apples - 800 g
- Sugar - 1 kg
- Walnuts - 100 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Dry the walnuts in a dry frying pan and chop.
Peel the apples, cut into cubes and mix with half the sugar.
Mix the lingonberries and the remaining sugar. Add a couple of tablespoons of water and bring to a boil.
Boil the lingonberries for 5-7 minutes and mash with a pusher.
Add the apples and cook for another 15 minutes.
Add the nuts and cook the jam for another 10 minutes.
Put it in sterilized jars.
