Melon jam is good for everyone, but it's very easy to accidentally make it too sweet. Especially from juicy honey varieties. But there is a very simple way to remove excessive cloying – just add a little citric acid. Always works win-win!

Ingredients

  • Melon - 1.2 kg
  • Water - 1 glass
  • Sugar - 800 g
  • Citric acid - 0.5 tsp.

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Peel and finely chop the melon.

Boil the syrup from water and sugar, pour over the melon and let it cool.

Bring to a boil, boil for 10 minutes and let cool again.

Boil again for 10 minutes, add citric acid and roll the jam into sterile jars for the winter.
