Citrus notes can decorate any drink or billet. Including canned apricot compote. You can traditionally add lemon juice. But I prefer to go the other way, and use orange peel.

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Disassemble the apricots into halves and put them in sterile jars.

Boil water, add sugar and orange zest, and boil for 5 minutes.

Strain the syrup and pour over the apricots.

Sterilize the jars in a pot of water for 15 minutes and roll up.
