An interesting variation of the traditional plum sauce is a sauce based on yellow tomatoes. Plum is also better to take yellow, for a more uniform color. The result is a little unusual, but at the same time incredibly delicious.
Ingredients
- Yellow tomatoes - 1.5 kg
- Plums (yellow) – 1 kg
- Salt - 1 tbsp.l .
- Sugar - 4 tbsp.l .
- Vinegar - 3 art.l.
- Garlic - 6 teeth
- Chili pepper - 1 piece
- Allspice - 3 pieces
- Carnation - 3 bud
- Italian herbs - 1 art.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Remove the seeds from the plum, and pass them with tomatoes, pepper and garlic through a meat grinder.
Add salt, sugar and spices, and cook the sauce for 30 minutes after boiling.
Let the sauce cool for a couple of hours, rub through a sieve and bring to a boil again.
Boil for another hour, pour in the vinegar and roll it into sterile jars.
