Blackthorn jam is an excellent preparation for the winter. Tender, moderately sweet, with a slight tart taste, it is suitable as a filling in sweet pastries or just for evening gatherings over a cup of tea. For pancakes, pancakes, cheesecakes or cottage cheese - perfect!
Ingredients
- Turn - 1 kg
- Sugar - 750 g
- Water - 0,5 glasses
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Turn over, rinse, remove the stems.
Put the prepared fruits in a bowl, fill with water and boil over low heat for 20-30 minutes until soft.
Wipe the fruits through a sieve - so the skin and bones will be removed.
Add sugar to the sloe puree, mix well and cook over low heat for 40-60 minutes. Adjust the consistency of the jam by boiling: the thicker the jam you want to get, the longer you need to boil the mass.
Pour the hot sloe jam into pre-sterilized jars, twist and remove to a cool dark place.
