Today we are cooking plums in syrup - a great dessert for the whole family. For this preparation, I advise you to take small dense plums. The variety “Hungarian” is perfect. Adjust the amount of sugar to your taste, for 1 glass of water I usually have 4 tablespoons of sugar.

Ingredients

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Wash the plums, dry them slightly and place them in pre-sterilized jars.

Boil water and pour boiling water over the fruits in jars. Cover the jars with sterile lids and leave for 10-15 minutes.

Drain the liquid from the jars into a saucepan, add sugar and cinnamon, bring the syrup to a boil.

Pour hot syrup over the plums in jars to the top, cover with lids and put them to be sterilized in a large saucepan with boiling water (the sterilization time is 7-10 minutes from the moment the water boils in the pan).

Close the jars with the sterilized blank hermetically, turn upside down and leave until completely cooled. Store the cooled plums in syrup in a cool dark place.
