The white currant is often undeservedly forgotten against the background of its more popular red and black species. I propose to correct this injustice, and at the same time I want to share a proven recipe for delicious compote for the winter.
Ingredients
- White currant - 400 g
- Sugar - 150 g
- Water - 2.5 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the white currants and put them in sterile jars. It is possible with twigs.
Cover the berry with sugar and pour boiling water. Cover with a lid and leave for 7 minutes.
Drain the syrup, boil again and pour the berry again. Roll up the cans.
