It is unlikely that you have ever cooked jam from ... bananas. Prepare this delicate sweet delicacy from just a few ingredients and enjoy a pleasant unusual taste over a cup of tea on cold winter evenings.

Ingredients

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Squeeze the juice from the orange and lemon, mix.

Combine water and sugar in a saucepan. On low heat, stirring constantly, boil the syrup until the sugar dissolves, and after boiling - until a beautiful caramel color. It will take about 7-10 minutes.

Separately bring the fruit juice to a boil.

Pour the hot juice into the finished caramel in small portions, mix until smooth and remove from the heat.

Cut bananas into medium cubes.

Put the saucepan with caramel back on the fire, put the bananas, stir and simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the bananas are soft and almost transparent.

Pour the banana jam with orange into pre-sterilized jars, twist and cool upside down. For long-term storage, I recommend keeping jars of jam in a cool, dark place.

Serve banana jam with oranges to pancakes, cheesecakes, cottage cheese or just for tea.
