Gooseberry confiture is a berry delicacy loved by children and adults! Its delicate texture, taste and aroma will not leave indifferent lovers of sweets! The confiture just melts in your mouth! Serve the treat with pancakes, pancakes, cheesecakes or oatmeal porridge.

Ingredients

  • Gooseberry - 1 kg
  • Water - 450 ml
  • Sugar - 1 kg
  • Lemon juice - 30 ml

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Pick the gooseberries, cut off the tails, rinse under running water and dry slightly.

Put the berries in a cooking pot, add water and lemon juice. Bring the workpiece to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat and boil, stirring, for 15 minutes.

Add sugar, stir and boil for another 10 minutes.

Increase the heat to the maximum and at a strong boil, stirring constantly so as not to burn, boil until ready. You can check the readiness by dropping a small amount of treats on a plate: if the drop does not spread, your jam is ready.

Pour the boiling jam into pre-sterilized jars, seal tightly and send it to be sterilized in a saucepan with water. After sterilization, cool the jars at room temperature.
