In winter, when a blizzard breaks out outside the window, it's time for delicious cherry jam. It is worth taking care of this in advance and storing a couple of jars of goodies in the harvesting season. It is better to do it without pits. It's more convenient and useful this way.
Ingredients
- Cherries - 1 kg
- Sugar - 1 kg
- Citric acid - 0,5 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the cherries and peel them from the seeds.
Put the berries in a deep saucepan with a thick bottom, cover with sugar and put aside for 2-3 hours.
Bring to a boil over low heat, boil for 10 minutes and cool at room temperature. Repeat the procedure one more time.
Boil the jam for the third time, add citric acid and cook for the same 10 minutes. Spread out in sterilized jars and roll up.
