The combination of cucumbers and tomatoes is always successful. Let's cook crispy cucumbers in tomato sauce for the winter this time? To be honest, I tried this delicious preparation for the first time quite recently and immediately found out the recipe. I'll be happy to tell you.
Ingredients
- Cucumbers - 3,5 kg
- Water - 2,5 l
- Garlic - 4 cloves
- Dill - 4 umbrella
- Currant leaves (black) – 8 pcs.
- Allspice (with peas) – 16 pcs.
- Tomato paste - 250 ml
- Vinegar (9%) – 150 ml
- Salt - 70 g
- Sugar - 180 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the cucumbers, fill with cold water and leave for a couple of hours. This will make the cucumbers more crispy.
Wash the dill and currant leaves and dry them slightly. Peel the garlic and cut into large slices.
Put tomato paste in a saucepan, add salt and sugar, bring to a boil and boil for 1 minute after boiling. Then add the vinegar and remove the sauce from the heat. Cool completely.
Spread dill, currant leaves, garlic and allspice equally in sterile jars. Then fill the jars tightly with prepared cucumbers.
Pour the cooled tomato sauce into jars with cucumbers, cover with lids and sterilize the workpiece for 10 minutes in a saucepan with boiling water.
After sterilization, roll up the jars, turn them upside down, wrap them up and leave them to cool completely. Then move the workpiece to a cool, dark place.
