Is it possible to diversify ordinary canned apricot compote? Of course you can. It is enough to experiment with additives and spices. And this time also with herbs. For example, I suggest adding a couple of sprigs of thyme!

Ingredients

  • Apricots - 1.5 kg
  • Water - 1.5-2 l
  • Sugar - 200 g
  • Thyme - 4 twigs
  • Lemon juice - 2 art.l.

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Put the washed apricots in sterile jars.

Pour boiling water over them, leave for 10 minutes under the lid and drain the water.

Boil the same water again, pour the apricots again for 10 minutes and drain again.

Add lemon juice, sugar and thyme to this water, and boil the syrup for a couple of minutes after boiling.

Strain the syrup, pour over the apricots again and roll up the compote.
