I want to share with you one of the most unusual recipes for winter! It turns out something in between classic jam and sweet chili sauce. It can be served with bread, desserts or meat. Be sure to try to close at least a few small jars!
Ingredients
- Tomatoes - 1 kg
- Sugar - 600 g
- Apple cider vinegar - 200 ml
- Ginger - 40 g
- Lemon - 40 g
- Hot red pepper - 3 pods
- Garlic - 4 cloves
- Anise - 2 pieces
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Pour boiling water over the tomatoes for a couple of minutes and peel, and then finely chop.
Grate the ginger, thinly slice the lemon slices, pass the garlic through a press, and peel the pepper from the seeds and chop.
Put all the ingredients in a saucepan, including sugar and anise, pour in the vinegar and bring to a boil over low heat.
Continue to cook the tomato jam, stirring, for about 20 minutes, and immediately pour into jars.
