One of my favorite preparations is jam from Japanese quince. It's his unusual taste. On the one hand, it resembles apple, but on the other – there are completely different notes, and even the texture is slightly different. I tell you how to properly prepare an unusual ingredient.
Ingredients
- Quince (Japanese) – 1 kg
- Water - 120 ml
- Sugar - 800 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel and randomly chop the quince.
Add water and sugar. Bring to a boil.
Cook the jam for half an hour on low heat, stirring. You can add spices.
Roll the jam into sterilized jars.
