Homemade compote made from fresh apples is a good alternative to carbonated drinks and store-bought juices. A fragrant, moderately sweet drink will appeal to both adults and children. For a festive table or for every day? Yes, as your heart desires! It's delicious and healthy!

Ingredients

  • Apples - 900 g
  • Sugar - 400 g
  • Water - 6 l

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Wash the apples, peel from the cores and cut into slices.

Distribute the apples equally and put them in 2 pre-sterilized three-liter jars.

Add sugar to the jars of apples.

Boil the water and pour boiling water over the apples in jars to the top. Cover the jars with sterile lids and leave to infuse for 1-1.5 hours.

Then drain the liquid from the jars into a saucepan, bring it to a boil again and pour the apples into the jars.

Roll up the jars, turn them upside down, wrap them up and leave them to cool completely. Store the cooled compote in a cool dark place.
