Borscht is usually cooked on beef or chicken. But sometimes you want to cook the broth on pork. And then in the recipe I will tell you how best to cook everything so that it turns out delicious and harmonious. And for a change, add sauerkraut!
Ingredients
- Pork - 300 g
- Sauerkraut - 300 g
- Carrots - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Beetroot - 1 piece
- Bell pepper - 1 piece
- Tomatoes - 1 piece
- Potatoes - 4 pieces
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tbsp.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Boil the pork until tender. Strain the broth.
Cut the potatoes into cubes and boil in broth until half cooked.
Cut the remaining vegetables into strips. Rinse the sauerkraut and squeeze.
Fry the onion and carrot. At intervals of 2-3 minutes, add pepper first, then beetroot, then tomato, and at the end cabbage.
Pour in a little broth and simmer the roast under the lid for 7 minutes.
Send the roast to the potatoes and cook everything together for another 7 minutes. Season the borscht and let it brew.
