You can cook apple jam in different ways. Housewives mix different flavors, add their favorite spices. Today I want to share a simple recipe for apple jam with lemon. With it, the apple delicacy acquires a pleasant citrus aftertaste.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the apples, peel and core, cut into small pieces.
Boil syrup from water and sugar.
Pour boiling syrup over the prepared apples, mix and leave to cool, covered with a lid.
Remove the zest from the lemon and squeeze out the juice, add to the apples. Mix the workpiece and leave for 2-3 hours.
Then bring the jam to a boil over low heat and boil for 1-2 minutes. Remove from the heat and leave to cool again for 2-3 hours.
Repeat the procedure 5-6 times. Apples should be completely soaked in syrup and become transparent.
Place a pot of jam on the fire and boil with minimal heat until the liquid evaporates (about 20-30 minutes).
Pack the hot apple jam with lemon into sterile jars and roll it up. Store the workpiece in a cool, dark place.
