By the middle of autumn, my basement is packed with a variety of conservation. Among all this variety, there will definitely be a couple of jars of compote from pears with citric acid. I cook it without sterilization by the method of double pouring.

Ingredients

  • Pear - 2 kg
  • Sugar - 450 g
  • Citric acid - 0,5 tsp.
  • Water (filtered) – 6 l

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Cut the pears and put them in jars.

Pour boiling water and leave for 30 minutes.

Drain the water into a saucepan, add sugar, citric acid and boil for 2 minutes.

Pour the boiling syrup into jars, roll it up and leave it warm for a day.
