If you are looking for a new recipe for delicious jam, make it from gooseberries with mint. Moderately sweet with an amazing aroma of freshness, it can be used as a filling or served with tea. I advise you to cook jam in a wide bowl with a thick bottom.
Ingredients
- Gooseberry - 2 kg
- Mint - 5 twigs
- Sugar - 1 kg
- Citric acid - 0,5 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the gooseberries and rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Put the berries in a saucepan, sprinkle with half the sugar and lightly mash with a masher.
Remove the mint leaves from the twigs, chop and pour into a saucepan with gooseberries.
Add the remaining sugar, stir and boil for 5 minutes.
Add citric acid and continue to cook for another 5 minutes. Spread out in prepared jars and roll up.
