Not everyone knows what can be made from fresh vegetable physalis. Not everyone likes it. But pickled vegetable physalis will appeal even to children. It will taste like canned green tomatoes with an unusual but pleasant aftertaste.

Ingredients

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Prepare the physalis. Remove the skins from it and pour boiling water to remove the sticky layer.

The ingredients from the list are designed for two liter cans. Divide the cherry and currant leaves, bay leaf, garlic, cloves in half and put them on the bottom of the jar.

Make shallow incisions on the physalis. This is necessary so that the fruits are soaked in a jar of marinade.

Put the physalis in a jar and pour boiling water. Cover with lids and let stand for 15 minutes. Drain the water into a saucepan, add salt, sugar and vinegar and bring the marinade to a boil.

Fill the jars with boiling water again, roll them up and send them to cool in a dark place.
