Savvy housewives always preserve beets for the winter. It can be added to soups, salads and snacks. It saves a lot of time and saves the family budget. I have my favorite recipe for boiled beetroot. I will share it with you today.

Ingredients

For Beetroot:
For Marinade:
  • Vinegar - 100 ml
  • Bay leaf - 3 pieces
  • Black Pepper - 5 peas
  • Allspice - 2 peas
  • Sugar - 80 g
  • Salt - 40 g
  • Water - 1,5 l

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Prepare the beets, put them in a saucepan with cold water and boil for 2 hours.

Remove from the water, cool, peel and slice.

Fold into the prepared jars, shaking several times in the process.

Boil water, add sugar, salt and spices.

Boil for 2 minutes, pour in the vinegar and immediately remove from heat.

Pour boiling marinade over the beetroot in jars, sterilize for 10 minutes and roll up.
