This cherry plum and apple compote is my favorite drink in winter. I usually use small and slightly unripe cherry plum fruits, which give the drink a sour note. And in contrast – sweet varieties of apples. This compote warms up perfectly on cold winter evenings.
Ingredients
- Cherry plum - 300 g
- Apples - 1-2 pieces
- Sugar - 230 g
- Water - 2.5 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut the apples into slices and put them in a clean jar with cherry plum.
Pour boiling water and leave for 15 minutes under the lid.
Drain this water, add sugar to it and boil it again.
Pour the syrup into a jar and roll up the compote for the winter.
