Wash the thorn, pierce each berry with a needle.

Fill clean jars with sloe and pour boiling water to the top.

Drain the water into a saucepan, add sugar, salt, spices and garlic cloves. Boil for 5 minutes.

Pour vinegar, boiling marinade into jars and roll up.
