Most of the preserves are usually pickles. No wonder there are so many recipes on this topic. I recently discovered another original option: tomatoes with cherries for the winter. Try it, it's incredibly delicious!
Ingredients
- Tomatoes - 5 kg
- Cherry - 1 glass
- Garlic - 50 g
- Dill - 3 umbrella
- Horseradish - 2 leaf
- Allspice - 4 peas
- Black Pepper - 10 peas
- Sugar - 160 g
- Salt - 140 g
- Vinegar - 140 ml
- Water - 3 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the cherries and pour salted water for 20 minutes.
Wash tomatoes, horseradish leaves and dill umbrellas. Peel the garlic from the husk.
Place spices, dill umbrellas, horseradish leaves and chopped garlic cloves on the bottom of clean jars.
Fill the jars with tomatoes and cherries. Shake several times to make the vegetables lie down more tightly.
Pour in boiling water, cover with lids and leave for 30 minutes.
Gently drain the water into a saucepan and bring it to a boil again.
Add sugar and salt to the jars of tomatoes.
Pour vinegar, boiling water and roll up.
