Of all the combinations of berries, gooseberry with currant is one of my favorites. And I constantly use it in a wide variety of blanks. For example, here in this fragrant and delicious compote. If desired, you can add a couple of slices of lemon or a sprig of mint.
Ingredients
- Gooseberry - 300 g
- Currant - 200 g
- Sugar - 250 g
- Water - 2.5 l
- Citric acid - 0.5 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Rinse and sort the berries. Put it in a sterilized jar.
Boil water with sugar and boil the syrup for 2-3 minutes.
Add citric acid, pour the syrup over the berry and roll up the compote for the winter.
