Every year I make blackcurrant jam. I do this for three reasons: it's simple, healthy and delicious. Various additives can be used as a thickener. I like to cook with starch. I share a proven recipe with you.
Ingredients
- Black Currant - 2 kg
- Sugar - 1,5 kg
- Starch - 80 g
- Water - 200 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop the black currant in a blender.
Add sugar, stir and leave for 1.5-2 hours.
Bring the mass to a boil over low heat.
Mix starch with cold water and pour into boiling jam, stirring continuously.
Boil everything together for 5 minutes.
Arrange the jam in jars, roll up and leave for a day in a warm place.
