Ingredients
- Tomatoes - 2 kg
- Bell pepper - 1 kg
- Onion (medium) – 3 pieces
- Pearl barley - 200 g
- Vegetable oil - 100 ml
- Vinegar - 3 tbsp.l.
- Ground black pepper - 1 tsp.
- Salt - 50 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Rinse the pearl barley and soak it in cold water for 1 hour.
Peel the tomatoes and chop them in a blender.
Peel onion and bell pepper, finely chop.
Mix the tomato mass, onion and bell pepper.
Add salt, oil and boil for 10 minutes.
Add the pearl barley, ground pepper and cook for another 40 minutes.
Pour in the vinegar, stir and remove from the heat after 3 minutes. Spread the hot lecho into the prepared jars and roll it up.
